Side Charge 6.5 Creedmoor BCG

Side charge BCG for building a side charging AR-308 upper, upgrading to one, or replacing a worn-out Bolt Carrier.

We took our .308 side charge BCG and swapped the bolt out for a mag phos coated 6.5 creed bolt and firing pin made for 6.5 Creedmoor.

The difference between the 6.5 bolt and the 308 is the aperture (firing pin hole), which is smaller on the 6.5 as to be less prone to blowing out the primer on a traditional 308 bcg due to the higher pressures of the 6.5 Creedmoor cartridge when fired.  The firing pins are also switched to match the smaller 6.5 creed bolt aperture.

Blue Loctite or equivalent is recommended to be applied on side charge bolt threads to help prevent it from backing out.
