Gov. Matthew Mead on Shooting Competition and the Firearm Industry

Posted on
Wyoming Governor Matt Mead recently appeared on television to discuss shooting sports, hunting, and other firearm-related activities recently. He also announced the second annual Magpul Governor’s Match. Mead, whose first Governor’s Match (a multi-gun match) was held last year, is a staunch proponent of the Second Amendment. The 2018 Wyoming Governor’s Match will be the 4th and 5th of August this year, immediately following Cheyenne’s Frontier Days. It will be held at the Otto Road Shooting Range.

“We have a strong firearms tradition in this country,” the Governor said. “In Wyoming we value hunting, shooting sports and those events that promote excellence and appreciation of these skills. The event highlights our heritage through elite level competition.”
